Vimutki charitable trust under the
banner of ‘Back to School/College,’ distributed uniforms, bags and
books to 80 underprivileged children of surrounding villages of
Pothnal. Chief Guest Rev Fr. Thomas Assit. Parish Parish Priest gave
away the school bags, books, uniforms and stationery to the children
in the presence of few dignitaries, parents of the children and the
local people.
Addressing the occasion, Fr. Thomas said that today’s children are
tomorrow’s leaders and hence Vimukti aims at reaching those children
who are denied of their basic right to education due to incapacity
to afford for education. Every child can be nurtured to be a better
individual if the right opportunities are provided at the right
time. Fr. Thomas urged the parents and staff in charge to take care
of these blooming buds as they are the future of the nation.
For the past 10 years there has been a ray of hope created in many
of the students who are persevering in their education by the
Vimukti trust. Praveen, one among the beneficiary said, that he is
studying 10th year of intermediate studies just because of
Capuchins’ support and then thanked Vimukti for educating the
underprivileged and giving a ray of hope in their life. He expressed
joy and satisfaction and appreciated the efforts taken by Vimukti to
make difference in the lives of the children.
