Vimukti Pothnal A
13-day skill development training program for women was inaugurated
at Vimukti Charitable Trust Pothnal in collaboration with SBI-RSETI
Raichur. The program aims to provide self-employment opportunities
for rural women aged 18 45 from BPL families. Mr. Vijaykumar Badiger,
Director of SBI-RSETI Raichur, inaugurated the event and emphasized
the government s free training schemes in tailoring, embroidery,
beautician courses, jewelry work, and animal husbandry, along with
residential facilities. He encouraged participants to make use of
bank loan facilities to begin small businesses. Mr. Jayasheela
Dotharbandi, Program Coordinator, highlighted that this specific
13-day training focuses on jewelry making. He appreciated the
government and Vimukti s joint efforts in empowering rural women
through sustained skill training over the years. Resource person
Mrs. Reshma Bhatt praised Vimukti s cooperation and the eagerness of
women to learn. Fr. Sathish Fernandes, Director of Vimukti urged
women to transform skills into livelihood opportunities, stating
that without income-generating skills, financial stability remains
out of reach. Special guest Mr. Shravan Kumar, lecturer at SBI-RSETI,
conducted a motivational session on self-employment. Ms. Akshita of
Pothnal and Kumari Mamatha from Vimukti were also present. Mr.
Arogyappa Dumati moderated the program.
