From October 11th to
November 25th, 2024, Vimukti Pothnal organized free health check-up
camps in 20 villages of Manvi taluka, providing essential medical
care and promoting health awareness among underserved communities.
Over 211 patients received free consultations and medicines through
this initiative. The VCT mobile unit, equipped with educational,
health, and library services, ensured access to even the most remote
areas. Health sessions by staff nurse Mrs. Shilp emphasized balanced
nutrition and regular check-ups, particularly for women, while Mrs.
Jacintha highlighted hygiene, cleanliness, and nutrition's role in
preventing diseases like anemia, distributed medicines, and provided
advice on preventive care and overall health. These camps
effectively addressed immediate medical needs while empowering
individuals with knowledge to lead healthier lives, reaffirming
VCT's commitment to improving community well-being.
