Vimukti Pothnal in collaboration with UNDP organized two months intensive
training on Embroidery and designing programme for the women at Vimukti
premises. The main aim and objective of our training is to conduct livelihood
programs for women and dropout girls to create sustainable livelihoods, build up
confidence among self-help Groups (SHGs). For the past many years now, vimukti
begin the self- employment training programs for women and dropout girls has
made lot of difference in many lives of many women and their families. Deprived
women and girls have been learning and some of them started their Micro
enterprise in tailoring and embroidery and stitching the different type of
blouses, zari work on sarees, etc. with these skills they earn as supplementary
income for their family.
Vimukti organized two months intensive skills training
in fashion designing course for the women belongs to backward sections of
Pothnal surrounding villages, by providing raw materials like threads, needles,
clothes, scissors etc. at the end of these courses certificates and visiting
cards are provided and helped each learner to support and encourage them to
continue their own business for their life sustainability. Nearly 45 women and
girls benefited from this training.
