Free food kits distributed to wandering families by affected by COVID-19 pandemic Lockdown:

“If you can’t feed a hundred people then feed just one”-Mother Teresa
Vimukti Charitable Trust Pothnal has been helping to the homeless, slum dwellers and wandering families, who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. Recently Vimukti conducted a survey to identify the families hit hardest by the gradual lockdown. We have found some of the daily wage earners like garland makers, ice cream vendors, and those who collect waste materials from shops these families are from disadvantage communities. Especially Schools and anganwadis are shut; they have so far delivered food kits containing a week’s supply of food grains.

Very sad story is Government has said free ration will be supplied to the poor people but on the ground, nothing has happened. VIMUKTI is trying hard to support in this emergency situation. Some said, “THE STRONGEST PEOPLE make time to help others, even if they are struggling with their own problems”.
