Vimukti CHILDLINE Raichur organized
the signature campaign at Pathrika Bhavan Raichur to promote child
rights. The occasion was the celebration of child line Se Dosti week
organized in collaboration with Department of Women and Child
Development, Raichur. Mrs. Mangala Hegde (CWC President) inaugurated
the signature campaign that highlighted the rights of children and
said that the rights of children should be protected at all cost.
“People who violate the rights of children often do not realize what
they are doing”, said Mr. Guru Prasd (DCPO Raichur), while speaking on
the topic, ‘Protection of Child Rights’. R. Naga Raj (Deputy
Director, Department of Women and Child Development), B.K Nandanur (DDPI
Raichur), Kirlingappa (Project Officer, DWCD, Raichur), Mr.
Prabu Dev Patil (CWC member), Mr. Bas Raj ( CWC member), Mr. Manjunath
Reddy (DLO, Raicur), Fr. Sathish Fernandes (Project Director, Vimukti
Charitable Trust®, Pothnal), and Mr. Sudharsh Coordinator along with
CHILDLINE team members were present for the function. Vimukti child
line team visited Government offices, police stations, rail way
stations, PHCs, Gram Panchyaths, collages, schools, communities, and
could gather 712 signatures from various people. As part of the
signature campaign, gathered department authorities, media persons
and people took pledge saying that they will “protect and promote
children rights and help children to become agents of positive
change” and will make Raichur district as child friendly district”.
