Spiritual Guidance
(A Man was arrested and booked under POCSO ACT for raping and impregnating 15 year old girl)

Spirituality enhances life. It boosts the shattered or the week soul. Spiritual guidance is the most effective means where one may benefit maximum of it in the journey of life. Timely spiritual guidance can heal one’s deepest problems and add value to human life. So it is unique and special. Recently in a nearby village a minor girl was allegedly raped. The Girl had a traumatic experience and she too was emotionally disturbed. It took her almost a long time to come out of this bad experience which was bothering her so much. This type of violence especially against the minors is one of the classic examples for the degradation of human life and its value.

Fr. Sathish Fernandes OFM Cap engaged himself totally in giving spiritual counseling and help to the traumatized rape victim. The main objective was to identify and help her to get rid of deepest emotions and fears caused by the rapist. Along with her many others also were motivated to overcome anxiety, stress, depression, sadness in the affected village and to regain self-esteem and self-confidence to live in peaceful co-existence.

Spiritual counseling had helped the child to grow spiritually. She was able to identify the values in her and thus move forward to live better in future life. Throughout the sessions, the child was persuaded to master self-confidence and thus regained her strength through analysis filling her with lots of positive aspects of life. The sharing and interaction helped her to cultivate self-esteem, awareness, understanding, clarity and spirituality in its all Endeavour’s.

Later the man was arrested who had allegedly raped and impregnated the minor girl. Further the Police have booked the culprit under POCSO act.

Meanwhile the girl was produced before CWC Raichur for the medical checkup. Vimukti demanded CWC to give complete protection and support so that she may totally recover from the trauma and safeguard with requisite medical assistance. Now she is sheltered at CWC at Bagalkot. Recently Vimukti director and staff have visited the CWC Bagalkot and offered the child clothes and other necessary materials for the daily use. Vimukti has made every effort to bring justice to the child through using various strategies. Assurance and hope is filled in the life of the child.
