Vimukti was invited for new project proposal with collaboration with
Jesuit in India:
On 12th and 13th of December 2015 Vimukti Director along with
coordinator went to Indian Social Institute, Bangalore for two days
project consultation training, Under the Banner of LOK MANCH (People’s
Platform). LOK MANCH envisaged as a common platform/forum of, by and for
the priority communities, the dalits, adivais, and minorities, urban and
other marginalized communities, facilitated and accompanied by the
Jesuits, partners and collaborators. The 100 partner organizations will
function as facilitating bodies ensuring emergence informed lay
leadership locally grounded and connected at the state and national
levels with likeminded organizations and networks.
The consultative training was well organized with participative
sessions. In this training resource persons helped the participants to
formulate a road-map for this project for the next three years and an
action plan for next 6 months. During the two-day orientation programme,
additional relevant input sessions were conducted on soft skills such as
communication, motivation, teamwork and improving self-confidence.
Additionally, participants jointly opened to each other by providing and
receiving comments and feedback constructively. Nearly three states
level organizational Directors were present and benefited through this
training.
