Computer Illiteracy program:
The world is fast changing. As we are in the advanced age of
computer and modern technology; the uses of computers have become
indispensable in our daily life. Everything has become computerized;
wherever you go its nothing but the world of computers. At the click of
a button you get to explore the vast knowledge bank of this world. It is
said “You get in touch with the computer and it will open to you new
horizons.”
Illiteracy we say is the major evil in this region. However today we see
a few interested families sending their children to schools and
colleges. But we are landing into another problem called Computer
Illiteracy. While the able and accessible could afford Computer
education from the nearby towns, the poor are deprived of this facility.
So Vimukti thought of giving an opportunity to the youth and the
children in the morning and evening by organizing basic computer courses
in the villages.
We have nearly 1050 children, spread around 16 villages. It is
impossible to reach the conception at once because lack of computers.
Therefore, we install the computers in a village for a period of four to
six months and teach the children about the functioning of computers and
if possible internet. After six months the same will be moved to other
villages and then continue. Once the turn gets over of all the villages,
the second round begin. It’s a continuous process to equipped with them
with computer knowledge. Many aspiring boys and girls have come forward
to learn the basic computer education. The students are very happy to
know the basic computer skills which will in turn help them to choose a
better future.
