Vimukti Pothnal,
organised a leadership development training programme on 6th of
October, 2026 for adolescent girls under the Sabala Kishori Sangha
initiative, aiming to empower young girls with confidence,
leadership skills and decision-making abilities. The training
focused on self-confidence, effective communication, teamwork,
problem-solving, gender equality, child rights and the importance of
education. Through interactive discussions, group activities and
motivational sessions, the girls were encouraged to recognise their
potential, express their opinions, overcome social barriers and
become responsible leaders in their families and communities.
Special emphasis was placed on preventing child marriage, promoting
girls' education, developing life skills and encouraging active
participation in community development. The programme inspired
adolescent girls to become confident, independent and courageous
young leaders capable of bringing positive change to society. 350
adolescent girls actively participated.
