To celebrate the Feast
of St. Francis of Assisi and mark his 800th Jubilee, Vimukti Pothnal
distributed eight free sewing machines to economically disadvantaged
women, including women with disabilities and those from families of
persons with disabilities. “We are not merely distributing sewing
machines; we are sowing seeds of hope, restoring dignity and
creating opportunities for a better tomorrow.” Inspired by the
compassion and selfless service of St. Francis, this meaningful
initiative aims to empower vulnerable women by creating
opportunities for self-employment, sustainable livelihoods and
financial independence, enabling them to support their families and
build a brighter future. May the spirit of St. Francis continue to
inspire us to serve the poor, uplift the marginalized, and spread
love, peace and compassion throughout the world. Happy Feast of St.
