In observance of
International Child Labour Day, Vimukti Pothnal, organized a series
of awareness rallies in the villages of Eralgaddi and Malkapura on
12th, 13th, and 14th June 2026. The rallies were conducted with the
powerful message: “Every Child Belongs in School, Not at Work.”
Children enthusiastically marched through the villages carrying
placards and banners displaying anti-child labour messages. They
raised slogans advocating children's rights, education, and a
childhood free from exploitation. The rallies attracted the
attention of local residents and effectively spread awareness
throughout the communities. As part of the program, Mr. Charlie,
Vimukti Staff Member, led the children in an Anti-Child Labour
Pledge, inspiring them to remain committed to their education and to
stand against child labour in all its forms. The rallies witnessed
active participation from Vimukti staff members, school teachers,
and children, making the initiative a strong community effort
towards eliminating child labour and promoting education. Together,
let us build a future where every child is safe, educated,
protected, and free from child labour.
