20 Economically Poor Women Trained in Costume Jewellery Making under UDYAMI Programme: Vimukti pothnal

Vimukti Pothnal successfully conducted an intensive training program for 20 economically disadvantaged women from its targeted villages under the UDYAMI initiative. The primary objective of the program is to empower rural women, aged 18 45 and belonging to BPL (Below Poverty Line) families, by equipping them with practical skills for self-employment. Through this training, the participants learned the art of costume jewellery making a valuable skill that can be transformed into a sustainable source of income. Vimukti believes that without access to income-generating skills, financial stability remains out of reach for many rural families. To ensure the long-term success of this initiative, Vimukti continues to provide regular handholding support to these women as they begin their own small businesses. This program not only aims to strengthen their economic condition but also enhances their confidence and decision-making abilities, thereby contributing to the overall development of their families and communities.
