In collaboration with
Vimukti Pothnal, the students of Sunkanoor School organized an
impactful HIV/AIDS awareness rally in their village. The event aimed
to educate the community on safeguarding themselves against HIV/AIDS
and encouraging them to prioritize their health and well-being. The
rally began with an inaugural speech by Mr. Ballappa BHO Pothnal
emphasizing the importance of awareness in preventing the spread of
HIV/AIDS. Equipped with banners, posters, and slogans, the
enthusiastic students marched through the village streets, spreading
messages of prevention, health, and care. Key topics highlighted
during the rally included the importance of using protective
measures, avoiding stigmatization, and the need for regular health
check-ups. The students’ efforts resonated strongly with the
villagers, inspiring many to adopt healthier practices and ensure
the well-being of their families. The program concluded with a short
interactive session, where community members were encouraged to ask
questions and learn more about the prevention and management of
HIV/AIDS. The rally successfully raised awareness, fostered
community dialogue, and strengthened the commitment to health and
safety in Sunkanoor village. We extend our gratitude to Sunkanoor
School and Vimukti Pothnal for their collaboration in making this
awareness rally a meaningful and impactful event.
