The Vimukti
Charitable Trust® (VCT), Pothnal, organized free health check-up
camps from July 10th to August 30th, 2024, across 20 villages. A
total of 130 patients received medical treatment and free medicines.
During the camps, Mrs. Shilp, a health staff member, emphasized the
importance of a balanced diet and regular check-ups, especially for
women facing health challenges. Mrs. Jacintha, from VCT, spoke on
self-care and maintaining cleanliness to prevent diseases,
highlighting the role of a nutritious diet in preventing anemia.
Following these informative talks, patients underwent health
check-ups and received free medicines. The VCT mobile unit, equipped
for education, health, and library services, supported these camps,
ensuring outreach to remote areas. By reaching 130 beneficiaries,
this initiative helped safeguard the health of vulnerable
individuals, embodying the belief that "Health is the greatest
wealth."
