On 5th of July 2024
Vimukti Pothnal in collaboration with Italian Bishops’ conference
Italy, organized carrier guidance program to the youth of Pothnal in
its premises. Mr. Charlie the member of Utakanur Gram Panchayat in
his address note said that youth who pursue to become future leaders
must know the Government plans and benefits of it. They must be
aware of social functioning. In the present-day scenario Country has
been witnessing many norms and regulations which are against the
conscience of people. But despite the opposition, the Government
continues to implement them in a hurry. In future these laws and
regulations would bring negative results in society. So, the
present-day youth must be prepared to face all the challenges in
society. Fr Sathish Fernandes the Vimukti Director in his speech
encouraged the youth to be great good effective leaders. They must
grow towards achieving good things in life. They must be ready to
work towards the society and to come together to voice against the
evil influences and practices of the society. They must be ready to
oppose the Government for their policies which are not people or
society friendly. Because the future days are going to be harder
than ever. So, we need to change our view of thinking and working.
Mr. Gangappa, the resource person of the day, explained about the
Panchayat Raj system. Gram Panchayat is a mini parliament where the
voices matter and still the resolutions or the suggestions still can
come into effect. Every sector is linked to the local Gram Panchayat.
Health, education, Agriculture, animal husbandry, taluka Panchayat,
District Panchayat, remuneration department, women and children
sector, Electricity department sector so altogether there are 29
sectors in a Panchayat Raj System. These were explained in brief to
the youth. Mr Mahantesha, Mr Kirankumar the reporters, Mr Rayappa,
Mrs. Monica, Miss Mamata, Mr. Jayasheel, Mrs. Shilpa were present
during the day’s seminar. About 104 youth of Pothnal and nearby
villages participated in the training program and benefited from the
