On 19th to 20th and 23rd to 24th of
March 2017, Vimukti organized training on SCSP/TSP/WASH (planning,
allocation, utilization of financial resources) act 2013. Vimukti
pocket leaders and community monitoring leaders were the
participants for these trainings. Mr. Ravidra Janekal and Mr.
Lawrence, ARD Raichur were the resource person who have highlighted
the SCSP/TSP/WASH act as a whole and its background to dispel lot of
political, legal and other misconceptions surrounding it. Though
lots of funds are allocated for this welfare of scheduled castes and
scheduled tribes each year by the state and central government, in
actual practice there is no compulsion to spend the amount as
allocated and always the funds were diverted to other purposes or
shown as unspent. The participants were enlightened how much funds
allotted in each schemes in different departments in the district
and how to utilize these funds by submitting correct documents to
concerned departments. The Resource persons also urge the
participants to make use of these schemes and benefit from them to
the maximum level. 20 pocket leaders along with Vimukti animators
prepared the action plan concretely for three months to tape these
schemes very effectively in the pocket level. The trainers used the
interactive/ participatory method rather than just giving lecture to
stimulate the learning environment more participatory and active. 61
participants benefited from these training.
