in making children’s right to participation though Child Rights
Clubs has been very effective. It is VCT’s firm conviction that “a
child who is capable of forming his or her views has the right to
express those views freely in all matters affecting the child, the
views of the child being given due weight in accordance with the age
and maturity of the child” (UNCRC 1989 – Article 12). To prepare and
train children to participate we have formed Child Rights clubs in
10 Gram Panchyath and Balikasanghas in 10 Gram Panchyath of Manvi
Taluka with the collaboration of Government Schools.
