Safe Village Program: Vimukti Pothnal

The safe village Program is aimed at building child trafficking awareness among rural communities across villages of Raichur District. The programme adopts a holistic approach and focuses on sensitizing at-risk community members about child trafficking, its causes, risk factors, creating awareness about ways to prevent child trafficking, sustaining the awareness, and conducting vulnerability reduction workshops. It aims to mobilize communities to keep their children safe from trafficking. So far 107 safe villages are conducted, 80 Rakshaks,60 Nodal teachers, 46 Gram Mitras, 33 community leaders,219 stakeholders, 57,852 people have been reached and 25,667 safe village program books are distributed.
