The 5th Asian Anti-Trafficking Forum Meet; Creating Safe villages and
reaching every victim of trafficking, leaving NO ONE BEHIND: Vimukti

trust® Pothnal Mr. Arogyappa coordinator anti-trafficking attended
the Asian anti trafficking forum meet 2023 at Jeevan Jyothi Retreat
House, Hyderabad from 1st to 3rd August 2023. Renowned speakers from
all over India who are working for human trafficking attended and
addressed the gathering. Nearly 180 NGOs representatives from all
over India who are actively involved came together to fight human
trafficking. It was wonderful to have met and to interact with each
other.
The focus was laid on child trafficking, child marriage, child and
bonded labor. There was a point made that if we involve Rakshak,
Grama-Mitra, Nodal teachers and community leaders (Labor Department,
Police Force, Social Welfare Department, Department of Children and
Women Development, Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj)
in the awareness programs that we conduct, it would be a more
effective. An action plan was made to ensure 6 programs in three
months and in the fourth month there would be a training program
conducted for 24 stake holders of these programs on a cluster level.
Altogether there were 180 NGO partner members attended for this
event which included National Coordinator, State Coordinators, IP
heads, and Field trainers. Well organized program including good
resource persons.
