Distribution of free Sewing Machine tool kits: Vimukti Pothnal

Vimukti Charitable trust® Pothnal organised a free distribution of Sewing Machine tool kits to poor women of Pothnal on 15th June 2023. The main objective is to empower women by helping them generate livelihood opportunities and enhancing their self- reliance. The machines were distributed to 30 women who were selected based on their skills and financial status. Mr. Charlie (GP President) was the chief guest for the occasion. Addressing the gathering he said, “Vimukti organization is always ready to help the poor people as a result many people have been benefiting from this organization. The opportunity for these women to earn an income and stand on their own feet will go a long way in women’s empowerment.” One of the beneficiaries expressed her thankfulness to Vimukti for giving her a sewing machine, which will enable her to earn a livelihood by doing respectable work in the society. Vimukti helps many people each year to reduce the cycle of poverty through income-generation programs.
