Fr. Sathish Fernandes,
a Capuchin Priest at the heart of Jesus, has been hailed for his
love towards poor and the downtrodden. He has been instrumental in
proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ, not only in words, but
also in deeds of charity. He has been a true companion to the most
disadvantaged and marginalized people, irrespective of case, creed
and religion. His crusade to fight for the rights of the poor and
defenceless, is a true paradigm of a Good Shepherd, leading the
flock in spite of the dangers and difficulties. His dream to
transform the society as a better world to live, have been slowly
realising.
Fr. Sathish Fernandes, has been dedicating his entire life for the
social work in order to bring smiles to the less privileged children
of the society. For the past fourteen years he has been actively
involved in the district of Raichur, Karnataka to empower the less
privilege children. Acknowledging his benevolent works and zealous
involvement in the sector of child rights, education, care of the
poor orphan, semi-orphan, HIV/AIDS and disabled etc. he has been
conferred with several prestigious State Awards. On 20th of
November, 2022, he has received Mahanthsree state award-2022 given
by Mathoshree Mahantamma Shivabasappa Gonal Foundation at Siddaram
Jambldini auditorium Raichur, Karnataka. We the Vimukti Staff
congratulate Fr. Sathish Fernandes and wish him all the best to
inspire others to join their hands to make this world a better and
safer place for children and youth. The dignitaries and Mathoshree
Mahantamma Shivabasappa Gonal Foundation organizers from the state
