Vimukti Childline Advisory Board (CAB) meeting Raichuru:
Childline Advisory Board meetings was held
on 23rd August 2021at DC office Raichuru. Superintendent of Police, CEO,
Deputy Commissioner, Chief Executive Officer, Deputy Director of Public
Instruction, District Collector, District Magistrate, Assistant Deputy
Commissioner, Divisional Officer, Women and Child Development Officer,
District Child Welfare Committee, District Child Protection Officer,
Block Education Officer, District Education Officer, District Social
Welfare Officer, child development programing officers, Child welfare
officer from SJPO, Reginal transport officer, district minority officer,
BSNL officers, District health officer, Juvenile Justice Board, district
legal serve authority members were present in the meeting. How the Child
line 1098 functions in the district and what are the hurdles, challenges
and difficulties the ChildLine team faces in implementing the project
more effective way. The project aims to advocate and promote child
rights of the deprived children of Raichur and their participation in
wider decision-making process. The ChildLine team on behalf of the
marginalized children raises issues pertaining to the violation of child
rights, and make effort to influence the duty bearers and policies for
children.
The following discussion were held during the CAB meeting:

Discussion was held on child
helpline telephone calls.

Discussion was held on various
categories of calls register under 1098.

Discussion was held regarding who
are the CMPOs at the Grama Panchayat Level and Taluk level for
as Child marriage Prohibition officers.

Discussion was held on how to stop
child beggar and street mothers using babies during beggary.
-
To provide Vehicle facility to the
protection of needy children during the emergency cases.
-
Discussion to provide care centers
and facilities to special needy children at Raichuru.

Discussion on Ceasing of Child
trafficking in goods vehicles and prohibition of children’s
utilization in agricultural field activities.

To make compulsory wall writings
and display the ChildLine 1098 number in the compound walls of
Government offices.

Providing immediate compensation
to the victims of sexual harassment children/ POCSO.

Displaying the ChildLine 1098
number in public places, on vehicles, schools, Gram Panchyaths,
Community health centers, AWCs, hospitals and in all the
bus-stands of the district.

To make Publicity regarding
Childline 1098 through the vehicles of waste management project
of Municipality.
Childline Raichur suggestion given to
CAB Committee

To display the stickers of Child
helpline number in all walls of government offices, such as
schools, AWCs, Grama Panachayat, Hospitals, Community Hall etc.,

All the departmental officers
agreed to provide the vehicle facility to support the Childline
team during emergency.
-
During child labor and child
trafficking rides, District socials welfare officer, DD, DWCD,
CDPOs and Child helpline need to work convergently.
-
Suggested was made to DD to find
out place and facilities to provide for special children care
Centre in the District.

Order was given by the DC to RTO
officers to record case against private vehicles if they use
their vehicles to carry child labours and child trafficking.
