Vimukti Charitable trust® Pothnal distributes 300 food kits, Masks, sanitizers to the underprivileged poor families to fight against COVID-19:

Lockdown, either partially or fully has become an unavoidable drastic step to contain the surge of cases and deaths due to coronavirus. The poor are affected more adversely than the rich and upper middle class, both by the virus itself and the lockdown and curfews, and its impact has significantly worsened the life of many poor, small and marginal farmers especially the migrant families, single headed women, unskilled workers, HIV/ AIDS, disabled, orphan semi orphan families etc. Amid this challenging situation, VIMUKTI along with its generous donor partners distributed dry ration kits (sugar, Tea powder, salt, Green grams, coconut oil, dall, Rava, Chilli powder, coriander powder, edible oil, turmeric powder cumin, master seed, Soaps, paste Tooth brush etc), mask, sanitizers, and medicines for the deserving most vulnerable 300 households in its operational areas. The kit contains dry ration and other essentials items for the month. With deepest gratitude we would like to thank you all the generous donors for your timely support and love towards poor and needy. In order to maintain proper distancing among the beneficiaries, circles were drawn on the ground at a distance of 1 meter and the beneficiaries were made to sanitize their hands before receiving the kits. Masks were distributed freely to the beneficiaries along with the hygiene package. Precaution is taken while distributing the dry ration kits.
