Vimukti Pothnal organized three levels of
training for the members of Child Rights Clubs from in 16 villages of
our working area. Vimukti staff briefed about Vimukti and its
activities, and CHILDLINE 1098. Children gained knowledge about UNCRC,
Child, Child Rights, Child related laws and Children in difficult
situations. Children were motivated to call 1098, Child helpline number
during difficult situations. Children expressed that these trainings
helped them become better individuals and empower them to fight for
their rights. Children also expressed that they have been identifying
child laborers selling balloons, pens, etc. at some important signals
and junctions in Manvi and in Sindhnoor talukas. Three hundred and
eighty-one boys and one hundred and thirty three girls attended the
trainings. Respective school HMs and teachers were present during the
trainings.
