Vimukti Trust Pothnal organized a program
of free distribution of bags and books in the Bagalada village. The
Director addressing the gathering said that the present Pandemic
situation has largely affected the poor marginalized people. People have
lost jobs and in a desperate situation. The Government has initiated
teaching methods for the children at the village set up level. When it
was enquired it was found that 6th to 10th school children do not study
or go to school due to the poverty and could not afford to have school
bags and books. Vimukti after learning the situation provided bags and
books for the 30 needy children. The school in charge highly appreciated
the initiative taken by the trust and asked people to see that no child
should be deprived of education since education also is the fundamental
right of children. The village dignitaries namely Dalit leader Gangadar,
Mounesha Kori, Nagraj, Jagdish, Arogyappa, Mahesh Child Help line
Raichur and children’s parents were present at the program.
