CHILDLINE 1098, Raichur organized more
than 8 open house programmes in Raichur district. In preparation to
this Open House programme the staff of child line visited and met
people concerned in 58 villages, 26 wards, 15 gram panchayats, 21
schools, 41 Anganwadi, 74 SHGs, 8 hospitals, 75 ASHA animators, and
other community related trusts. They were informed about the
Children related problems, their rights related issues. Dates were
set. The whole purpose of all the Open House programme was to
discuss and come to decision addressing various problem and laxity
of provisions to our children whom we educate and take care and
about making best use of the child line to help out children in
danger specialty those caught up in misery of Child labour, child
marriage, trafficking, assault, and other problems. The children
openly shared their difficulties in their respective schools and
centers with boldness regarding the lack of toilet facilities, open
play ground, playing articles, accommodation, meals, and lack of
proper teaching and so on. The departmental heads who participated
assure of their full support take a stringent action against people
who have not taken sufficient care to provide the basic necessities
to such children. The heads of the institute and school assured of
their support in looking into the matter seriously and do the
needful immediately. The Open House programme was very useful and
purpose driven programme. Nearly 780 children benefited from this
program.
