Capacity Building and Career Guidance to youth’s: Vimukti Pothnal
Vimukti Charitable Trust® Pothnal in
collaboration with Capuchin Province of Emilia- Romagna Bologna,
Italy organized program on capacity building and career guidance to
youth was organized on 13th March, 2019 at vimukti premises. The
base line of the workshop was to help prospective generation to
understand their hidden talent in an advanced way. Nearly 125 youths
attended and benefitted from this training.
Career guidance plays a very important role in the lives of all
individuals, as it helps in setting future goals and chooses
careers. Career guidance is much needed service to those who did not
plan for their future at an early stage; more should be done to
assist the younger generations in personal career development. When
high school students have a clear understanding of the best career
choices for them, end result is better planning, more college
enrollments, and a more productive society for the future.
Action Plan:
In this workshop we have planned to make Youths understand different
career opportunities, procedure to appear those careers, different
competitive exams and also planned to make them to understand the
importance of having goal and passion and hard work to achieve the
desired goal. For that we have involved some social games and shown
motivational video clips to the students who all were participated
in the workshop.
Career Guidance seminar:
This is the core part of this workshop this session mainly handled
by the Fr. Sathish Fernandes CWC member Raichur and has experienced
in career guidance field since a year. The session was very
interactive; youths were very attentive and asked questions and
clarified the doubts. In this session resource person has covered
many career options which all Arts, Science and Commerce can appear
and also the separate courses for each stream. Along with this
session we involved one more activity to make youths to understand
the importance of Concentration and how we can tackle with the
outside disturbances. In this activity all were active and there was
healthy competition among the participants who all involved in it.
Motivational Video:
This was the last part of the workshop. The main theme of the
video is to make participants to understand that only having goal is
not an achievement but also we should have the passion, hard work
and continuous effort to achieve the desired goal.
Printed Materials:
After the session the recourse person have provided the kit and
photocopies of reading material to all the participants. The kit
which provided to youths was involved the detail information about
the road map of career and different competitive exams and contact
no. of Fuel helpline and others.
