Vimukti Charitable Trust®, Pothnal organized the "joy of giving"
activity in an Endeavour to make Christmas Day special and reach out
to the underprivileged children on 23rd of December 2018, Sunday.
Christmas is a time to give and forgive. Celebrated everywhere as a
joyous family affair, we too, at Vimukti celebrated Christmas as a
happy time for our children.
Vimukti distributed warm clothes to the 102 underprivileged children
of this locality. Right from distributing sweets to helping children
draw and colour, they did every possible way to bring smile to them.
"It indeed was a special moment to see children were happy to see
the gifts as token of love.
"Through this initiative, the underprivileged children have too got
a chance to celebrate Christmas in its true spirit at our Vimukti
campus. It was a small gesture by the generous donors, to express
that they care for unprivileged kids too, Fr. Sathish Fernandes,
Vimukti Director said, "What could be better than celebrating
Christmas Day with people who are underprivileged and lack the
comforts of life, unlike most of us who celebrate the day with loads
of goodies, new clothes to wear and gifts to flaunt? Believing in
the happiness of all, there are some benevolent people and groups
who make sure that everyone has smiles on their faces." The
dignitaries and parents also appreciated the initiative taken by the
Vimukti social center to inculcate the habit of sharing and giving.
We are very grateful to all the generous donors who have helped
these poor children through their contribution. May God bless your
generosity in hundredfold, children and parents gathered to express
their deep gratitude to their benefactors.
