Vimukti Charitable trust® in
collaboration with CHILDLINE India Foundation organized five days of
CHILDLINE in- house training to Raichur CHILDLINE staff from 31st to
5th of August, 2018. Inaugural function was held at JC Bavan Raichur.
CHILDLINE India Foundation’s south Zone program coordinator Miss
Chithra anchan said in her inaugural address that the CHILDLINE 1098
project of the Union Ministry of women & Child Development offers
24x7 toll free emergency helpline service and children in distress
must seek help from this service. She further said, that this is the
only helpline for children in the country and it was establish in
1996. Now, a number of CHILDLINE centers have been setup across the
country. District children welfare committee president Mrs. Mangal
Hegde, women & Child Development Department deputy Director R Nagraj,
Deputy Director of public instruction Department B K Nandur, labour
Department officer Venkatswamy, District child protection unit
officer Guru Prasad, national child labour project officer Manjunath
Reddy, Ayyappan, city coordination helpline, Fr. Sathish Fernandes
Raichur childline Director,Mrs.Sudharshan coordinator and Vimukti
Staff were present during the inaugural program of the training
camp.
On first day, Introducing CIF (with emphasis on roles and
responsibilities on Different CHILDLINE structures in the city, CL
credo mission, vision), Integrated Child Protection Scheme, other
Child related schemes including State specific schemes, perception
of “who is a child”, child protection policy and Childline
Terminology & risk analysis being in the field were explain in
detailed by Miss Chithra anchan and Mr. Ayyappan.
On Second day session, Mr.Ragavendra Bat unicef koppal Division
Resource person explain in length on UNCRC, Juvenile Justice Act and
the legal aspects, Salient features of Child Marriage Prohibition
Act, Prohibition & Regulation of Child Labor Act, Salient features
of POCSO Act etc.
On third and fourth days Miss Chithra anchan and Mr. Ayyappan
explained on Vulnerability mapping and Resource Mapping, Counseling
session- handling the rescued victims, Outreach/awareness- field
visit exposure on Online Safety Documentation, call classification,
other records and registers to be maintained in CHILDLINE Case
Intervention, Call categorization & CCC- IU Protocol, Accounts-grant
Preparing city Action plan etc were explain in length.
FAQs, Feedback on the training following with valedictory function
held on 5th August at 7.p.m. Fr. Sathish Fernandes Childline Raichur
expressed vote of thanks to all the participants and Resource
persons for their support and encouragement to move forward to work
together in “reaching out to the unreached” children in the society.
