“Cleanliness is the only
medicine to all diseases”
Vimukti charitable trust® Pothnal with under health for all
project organized program on maintain cleanliness to avoid diseases
on 6th of June, 2018.VCT staff nurse Mrs. Nagarathna along with Mrs.
Jeceintha initiated in the project women and children that the
instances of dengue and chikungunya that are being reported in the
district is going high and many are hospitalized. Mrs. Nagarathna
stated that the diseases are caused due to the bite of mosquitoes
that make water storage and stagnant water their breeding places.
She said that pain behind eyes, stomach ache, and red rashes on
skin, black stools, bleeding in gums and nose; indicate that the
person is vulnerable to dengue fever. If a person exhibited severe
pain in muscles, he/ she might be a brain fever patient. She
furthered explained saying, dengue fever attacks in four phases like
febrile phase, acute phase a dengue shock syndrome and Recovery
phase. The disease has no definite treatment except symptomatize
treatment only. Therefore she admonished the participants to keep
surrounding pure and clean. This hygiene will keep you healthy
physically and mentally.
