“It’s easier to build strong
children than to repair broken men” –Frederick D. social activist
The Vimukti charitable trust® with the collaboration of Ensemble
Agissons France had organized sponsor’s day program at Pothnal on
05.11.2017. 47 sponsored children along with their parents
participated in the program. This day was filled with full of
entertainment. Mr. Arogyappa welcomed the guests on the dais.
Sponsored children honored the guests with the flowers. VIMUKTI
believes every child deserves a future. Here in Vimukti, we give
children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and
supporting them to create a platform to exhibit their talents. This
program is very unique because we look at all the things that
prevent children from surviving and thriving in their community. We
work with each sponsored child family to bring all the pieces of the
puzzle together to build a better future for all children.
Mr. Daniel President, Ensemble Agissons France said, “When I
approach a child, he inspires in me two sentiments- tenderness for
what he is and respect for what he may become”. We look after the
welfare of impoverished children and help them develop holistically;
mind and body. Our focus and commitment is long-term and relational.
We invest our time for a lifetime, while providing personalized and
individualized attention tailored to gender, health, age culture and
family situations. Our commitment to holistic child development of
children in poverty is unique among child sponsorship, and we are
child- focused, and our programs run in partnership with Vimukti
Pothnal.
. Fr. Elvin Lopez Director Sneha Jyothi Boarding expressed saying,
“the greatest legacy one can pass on to one’s children and
grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in
one’s life, but rather a legacy of character and faith”. Fr. Sathish
Fernandes VCT Director said “we worry about what a child will become
tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today” child sponsorship
is one of the most cost- effective ways to help improve the welfare
of children poverty and provide a means for children to develop to
their fullest potential. It’s only through a careful blend of
holistic care that children can mature fully and escape the cycle of
poverty. And it’s only through our child sponsorship program that
children have experienced empirically validated improvements in
their circumstances.
Further he exhorted all the sponsored children saying that every
child should learn to give value for time and money the sponsors
spend on each child and always remain thankful to their sponsorers
who are selflessly trying to give better education. Today is the
right time to remember them and to thank them for all their whole
hearted support and encouragement. He encouraged the sponsored
children to increase their participation in our programmes. The
Progarmme came to an end by distributing prizes for the winners.
